Rockingham Educational Foundation, Inc. Recognizes the Local Barnes & Noble Booksellers

Thanks go to the staff at the Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Harrisonburg Crossing for its support of programs provided by the Rockingham Educational foundation, Inc. in Rockingham County Public Schools. B & N has also supported many of the individual schools in RCPS.

REFI held its annual book fair in November, and a percentage of sales went to benefit the organization. REFI Board Members welcomed customers to Barnes & Noble and shared information about REFI on Nov. 14 and 15. REFI Board Members and representatives working the book fair included Stephanie Pence, Donna Harper, Sheli Rush, Bob Bahr, Ed Long, Jr., JoDee Lambert, Gary Burner, Devon Anders and Janet Wendelken.

REFI was fortunate to be selected as the beneficiary of the 2008 Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Drive. Barnes & Noble exceeded its goal of collecting more than 12,300 brand new books for early learners. These will be shared with libraries, young readers and early literacy teachers in Rockingham County Public Schools. The book drive continued through the holidays.
