OpenOffice Database ("Base")
RCPS Computer 8 classes use the OpenOffice productivity suite for the Database Unit. The OpenOffice program is a free download that is available for Windows and Mac at www.openoffice.org. The OpenOffice suite includes applications for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, and graphics. OpenOffice allows you to open and save files in commonly-used Microsoft formats.
